What is an RSS Feed
What is an RSS feed?
I don’t know but I know how to use them. I do not know how the microprocessor on my computer works either but I know some of the ways to use my computer.
An RSS feed is basically an update from a blog or a website that is set up to RSS. Any time you create a new page this feed will shoot out to anyone or any site that has the “RSS Feed” on it.
RSS feeds get you seen. If you add your RSS feed to any blog and the latest posts will show up on the other blog.
Learning RSS feeds
Your first step is to start following some rss feeds. This can be done through a feedreader. There are several. I use two of them. One I use is the Google Reader. This is simple if you have a Google Gmail account then you can start using the Google Rss Reader.
Sign into your Google Account. Since you are reading this blog start with this one. See the little orange button where the URL to this page is? Click on it. Add this feed to either your Google Reader or your Google home page. You can do it to both to see how it works.
Now when you are on a website that you find interesting add it to your RSS reader. If you have a couple websites you can add them to your Google Home page and quickly link to them. Play with RSS feeds to start to figure them out.
This is a Dofollow Blog add a relevant comment and you will get a live backlink.
There are many benefits of RSS which solves a problem for people who regularly use the web and ofcourseIt allows you to very simply stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in.I know that RSS works by having the website author maintain a list of notifications on their website in a standard way.
