DoFollow Blogs How to Find Your Own List
I have a couple simple ways to find Dofollow Blogs. I consider the blogs with Lucia’s or similar plugins active as Dofollow blogs.
I use the SEO for Firefox plugin. This shows all nofollow links as red. I changed this to pink so I could read what the link says. Sometimes the Red made it so I could not read the link title.
- I search in “Google Blog Search” for blogs in my niche.
- I click on the first result in Google Blog Search
- I go to the bottom of the page and check for comments.
- Does the comment allow me to add my URL. I will move on to the next blog in my search if there is not a place to add my URL.
- I check on the number of comments. If there are posts with a lot of comments I will go and look at that post. If any of the comments have links and they are Dofollow I have found a Dofollow Blog to comment on.
- I comment on this article and then I copy the url of this blog into my personal list.
- I also add into this list the name and URL and email I used on this comment.
- I will comment on 3 or 4 other posts on this blog and move on.
- I will mark in my personal Dofollow list that I need to go to this blog again.
- I will go back and see if my comments are live and if any of them are dofollow.
- I will add more comments with the same name, address, and link to get over the dofollow hump on this blog.
I have several websites. I use comments to link to all of them. I always try to have the link be a good anchor link to my site. You may check out my linking basics article for more on this.

My Parents had their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008. Wow 50 years. Great Party.
How Lucia’s Linky Love Works
The blog owner can set it to 3 up to 10 comments and then your comments become dofollow. I love to post on these blogs. It indicates to me first off the blog owner understands how to give back to his commenters.
Many have put Lucia’s Linky love plugin in their blog.

Do I post on Nofollow Blogs?
Yes, there are a couple of very good nofollow blogs I read and I comment on. I comment on almost every post I read. Why do I always comment? It helps me learn. If I read an article and then write about it I have to have paid attention to the article. I have a lot of backlinks in Yahoo from nofollow blogs. I like dofollow better but I believe the nofollow help also.
I have learned a lot by reading articles to comment on.
This is a Dofollow Blog. Your comments if appropriate are appreciated and approved will be Dofollow.

It’s pretty much how I do it really.
I always leave a comment on a nofollow blog if it is relevant to my niche and I have something to say on the article…

I do not comment as much as I should.
I am usually just doing research or such, but am always hoping for more comments on my own blog.
I will change my thinking and comment more.
Thanks.

How did you change the nofollow link color to pink from red? That is a good idea, cause the red is too dark.

In the Mozilla Browser go to “Tools” then “SEO for Firefox” then “options.” You will see Enable/Disable Highlighting and the color. Click on the Red Box and you will have a bunch of different colors to choose from.

Thanks for the information. I am very active in blogging and appreciate what you said about the “nofollow” blogs. Its not that they are bad to comment on, but you just dont get the link back to your site. But you certainly can gain popularity by commenting there. Its good for your business for people to see you actively participating in many different communities.
Thanks again for the post.

Hi Rick, great blog article. I mean, blog owners/authors know that online marketers use this dofollow tactic on most blog comments, but I haven’t seen anyone address this as directly as you do. Of course finding dofollow blogs are desired, but posting on nofollow blogs helps link popularity as well. You have a great blog and this was a good article. Informative as well as entertaining.

I published a post with some great do follow tools and a bunch of dofollow lists. I linked it to this comment to make it easy to locate. Those with dofollow blogs may want to add them to the PageRush tool.

Thanks for showing this new direction. I always depend on other’s dofollow list and verify it to make it my own list of dofollow blogs. Google search is the best resource in finding dofollow blogs easily. Plus, most of the dofollow blog in people’s list are nofollow now.

DoFollows does generate results and traffic to a website. It’s like helping each other out but comments should be related to the topic.
