Must Do Comment Linking Rules

There are several things I try to do with my comments.

  • The comment will always be part of the conversation–Relevant.
  • I do not put links in my comments unless the comment is on one of my own blogs and I know it will be approved.
  • Yes I comment on my own sites with other identities.
  • My comment is always targeted at a keyword and to link back to a specific page on my site that is related to that keyword.
  • I will include the keyword in the comment once if there is any way possible.
  • I usually name my identity after the keyword.  Such as the keyword I am promoting is “Article spinning” I would leave comments under the identity of “Rick Article Spinning” and then sign the comment as Rick Article Spinning.  I use the URL for the actual page on Article spinning on my website like http://imbyrick.com/article-spinning/ not a link to the homepage.

The goal is to get the most value out of the comments you leave.  I do not worry too much about nofollow versus dofollow blogs.
