One Week Marketing Mind Map

21 May, 2009 (17:23) | One Week Marketing | By: Rick

What is the One Week Marketing Mind Map?

If you are like me I have often found mind maps baffling.  They spread out over several screens on my computer with lines going all different ways and the explanations do not make a lot of sense.

The person building the mind map thinks this is the secret to the universe and all will be peachy if you just check out my mind map.  In all honesty I have not gotten much out of most mind maps.

The One Week Marketing Mind Map is a simple six pages.  The first page shows the foundation of your campaign.  If your campaign is successful the following mind maps show the recommended direction to work with your campaign.

What is OWM?

One Week Marketing is an internet marketing ebook built by Pot Pie Girl.  PPG also known as Jennifer Ledbetter in real life who is a very busy stay at home mom.

More than an Ebook
The OWM plan is much more than just an ebook.  It is a five section tutorial on how to find, start and promote an affiate sales plan.  Jennifer is an expert on using Squidoo and finding niches.  This plan goes into great detail on how she picks a niche, picks keywords, build articles on those keywords and then moves on.

Moving On is Critical
After she has built her testing pages she will move on and let time pass.  If the initial attempt to get traffic generated some sales she will often come back to it and promote it some more.  If not she has already moved on and is working on another niche.

Falling in Love with a Niche
There are two sides to this problem.  Many people find what they think is going to be a great niche and work for a long time on it.  It does not get traffic or sales and the person loses interest.

Pot Pie Girl teaches you to test out a niche before you fall in love.  Work her plan and you will be working on a niche for a week and moving on.  In time you will be able to tell if a niche is going to work for you and you can further develop it.  This keeps you from spending a lot of energy on a dead end.

I believe the One Week Marketing Plan is one of the best ways to learn the ins and outs of internet marketing.  I  have read a lot of internet marketing information.  This is the program I recommend for anyone who has not been making money online.  This is the foundation to your education.

I bought this package and I recommend you buy 1 Week Marketing to jump start your online knowledge and income.

One Week Marketing Overview

20 May, 2009 (13:20) | One Week Marketing | By: Rick

Overview of One Week Marketing
Pot Pie Girl gives us her system for using mainly free methods to make a very good living online.  She uses a domain name without a website and free websites like Squidoo to promote affiliate products online.  This is my One Week Marketing Overview.

Jennifer shows how she uses free research tools to find a product to promote, then she builds pages on Squidoo, Hubpage, Ezine Articles and other sites to build authority for her pages.

I printed out a copy each module of  One Week Marketing for long term use.  Mine will be highlighted and dog eared.  I will reread this a couple of times–Rick

What is covered in OWM?

  1. Picking your product
  2. Picking your Keywords
  3. Targeting your product
  4. Building your pages
  5. Promoting your pages
  6. linking to your affiliate product
  7. Plan of Action
  8. Daily To Do List to get your project done

Can you really build a money making project in only seven days?
Yes.  The goal is to get highly targeted traffic to your page.   You do not need a lot of traffic if that traffic is targeted correctly.

Will my 1 Week Project replace my Day Job?
No, Building a full time income online probably will not happen by doing one seven day project.  If you build one a week for a year or two you may be able to replace your day job income if you are as focused as Pot Pie Girl it will replace your day job by a large margin.

This will be a basic start to see if the project is worth developing.  If the project does well as it ages you can build it bigger.  Setting it up as a seven day project puts a nice doable time period to work on a project.  Then on to the next, leave this one to age like a Google wine.  A small investment in a project to see if it works.  If it works then you will continue to expand this project but in the mean time you will go on to other projects.

Do I get to see Examples?
Yes, you get to see the articles that were built during the making of  this program.  They are still live and working for Nick T.  Pot Pie Girl also shows a couple of her live projects.  This is truly unusual.  Most of the internet marketing plans I have read show screenshots but do not give multiple examples of the system in use.  This is another great feature of this plan.

Does this only work on Internet Marketing?
No, this system will work on almost any niche.  Nick T used it in the Golf niche which is a very popular, very crowded market.  Golfers spend a lot of money on their hobby, but they have a lot of different options on where to spend it.

How Expensive is OWM?

I believe it is way under priced.  I believe it is a great value, it is not a Monthly program where you need to pay $30 a month or $2000 for this Massive “Secret” Training.

How Expensive is it to use the System?
After buying One Week Marketing you can build a new project for less than $10 each.  After your first project or two you should be totally financed by the profit from your first or second project.

Are you willing to Learn and Work?
If you just want to learn, this is great, if you want to learn and put into action what you learn this is even better because you will make money with this system.

*Pot Pie Girl is the online nickname of Jennifer Ledbetter.
**Newbie is a person who has unsuccessfully tried to make money online.  Many have tried for years and spent way more than they have made.

I consider One Week Marketing the Newbie Cure. Work this plan and you are pretty well guaranteed to build a successful project.  Work it again and you are twice as likely, three times and you are almost guaranteed to succeed.  This is my opinion.

Buy One Week Marketing.  This is the best beginning, intermediate internet marketing plan I have seen.  Rick Kern

A Conversation with Nick, One Week Marketing Review

20 May, 2009 (02:43) | One Week Marketing | By: Rick

A Conversation with Nick, One Week Marketing Review is the heart of the OWM plan.

One Week Marketing was written by Jennifer (Pot Pie Girl) Ledbetter and comes with five modules.

  1. The One Week Marketing Guide Book.
  2. A Conversation with Nick.
  3. The One Week Marketing Action Plan.
  4. The One Week Marketing-Mind Maps.
  5. The One Week Marketing Check List.

The Conversation with Nick is 169 pages of instant messages that Nick and Jennifer (Pot Pie Girl) traded back and forth while she was coaching Nick through his first successful online project.  This took place in October of 2008.

It is a great banter back and forth and Nick has a lot of good questions.  It is really interesting because if you have ever been working on something and get hung up on something really simple it is really nice to be able to ask.  Nick asked those questions and PPG has answered them for you.  www.1-week-marketing.com is a complet package.

Overview of OWM
Pot Pie Girl gives us her system for using mainly free methods to make a very good living online.  She uses a domain name without a website and free websites like Squidoo, Hubpages, Ezine Articles to promote affiliate products.  This is a unique idea and apparently it works very well.

www.1-week-marketing.com is a complete package.

After a couple of months of letting the promotion age you can go back to your best promotions.  If the promotion goes very well you are set up to go to the next step and build a website around the successful theme.  If you just do OK with the promotion you leave it and build on more ideas.  If the promotion does poorly, you have very little invested except your time.

The answers that Nick received in this conversation were very good.  Pot Pie Girl has a very good handle on the intricasies of this type of promoting and she explains if very well.

One Week Marketing Action Plan

19 May, 2009 (17:30) | Ezine Article Articles, Website Linking | By: Rick

Pot Pie Girl’s One Week Marketing Plan comes in Five Parts.

  1. The One Week Marketing Guide Book.
  2. A Conversation with Nick.
  3. The One Week Marketing Action Plan.
  4. The One Week Marketing-Mind Maps.
  5. The One Week Marketing Check List.

This article is going to focus on The One Week Marketing Action Plan.  This is what most internet marketing educational products are lacking.  This is where the pie meets the lips.

Step by Step, Day by Day what to do.  You will learn what to do and how to do it in the other parts of the program.  This is the Schedule of what you need to be doing on a daily basis.  Also this is the basic order that you need to do for the next 7 days to start your journey to making money online.

Nike had the slogan for a long time–Just Do It.  Just do What?  That is the problem most of us face on a daily basis.  What should I be doing today to be taking my online business forward.  Buy the One Week Marketing by Jennifer Ledbetter (better known as Pot Pie Girl) and work the plan.  It has been proven over and over to be the basic steps to success.  This is the call to action for you on a daily basis.

Way underpriced by the way.  I believe she could easily double the price of this package and it would still be a bargain.   If I were Jennifer I would not sell it as cheap as she does.  Check out One Week Marketing.

Five Pages to your Success
This schedule is only five pages of todo’s.  You will take several hours to accomplish the list the first time you do it.  This Plan is designed to be a basis for your online success.  If you have an hour or two a day to work on this for a year you should be able to get over 50 projects done.

One Week Marketing Review

19 May, 2009 (16:59) | Website Linking | By: Rick

I just purchased One Week Marketing from Jennifer Ledbetter AKA Pot Pie Girl.  Wow.

I have bought a lot of internet marketing ebooks and stuff through the years.  Much of it has been good.

How do I make my living?
I make my living writing articles and getting them ranked in Google.

How did I start Making a Living Online?
I won’t bore you here you can check my Internet Marketing History.

I want to help my friends

I have a lot of friends that are interested in what I do.  I have tried to help friends by buying them Site Build it (it is $300 per year) and trying to help them with the process.  I have had zero success helping my friends.  They work on it for a few hours and give up.  They didn’t have anything  invested.  They could see the money I was making but they couldn’t picture themselves making the same.  The reason I started this blog was to give information to my friends about what I was learning and what I knew worked.

I have a new plan to help my friends.  I will give them–or–encourage them to buy One Week Marketing.  This Five part package is the perfect *Nooby software.

One Week Marketing Demonstrated
Every step is explained and demonstrated.  You heard me PPG gives you a step by step demonstration and gives you live examples of her websites and Lenses.  Most eBooks do not show you any live websites.  This is a hands on tutorial with several great Live examples of PPG’s work.

Live Examples to Follow
Yes, it is really rare for someone to show you live examples of their work.  The marketer is normally scared that every wanna be marketer will copy the work they have done that niche.  Pot Pie Girl gives live examples for you to copy in your own niche.

No Pot Pie in the Sky Theory
All the ingredients are here for you to cook up internet profits.  Easy as pie?  No but simple fully expained and the recipe works.

No More Weak Marketing
If you want to go from One Weak Marketer to a One Week Marketing expert do not delay.  The Five piece package is the best value I have seen in

*A Nooby is anyone why has not made a significant amount of profit from their attempts to make money online.  If you have made $600 online but have spent over $2000 on software and ebooks you are still a Nooby, Newbie, Noob, Newb.  My definition of Newbie is anyone who has spent more on IM software are ebooks than they have made.

Do you wanna get out of the Newbie Trap?
Buy One Week Marketing and work on her very simple plan.  Then work it again and again.  All the steps to success are there you just add some elbow grease.  This is the simplest Newbie Cure.

Getting a Hosting Account

30 April, 2009 (00:47) | Website Linking | By: Rick

It is pretty simple to get a hosting account.

I have almost completely converted to building websites with Wordpress.  Wordpress is easiest to use if your host uses CPanel.  Then you can very easily install your Wordpress blogs or websites by using Fantastico which always comes with CPanel.  It is so easy that if you are scared to install it get your fourth grade neighbor that has never touched a computer to do it.  Any problem and you can call customer support at your host.  Bluehost has a video on how to install Wordpress.  there are several Videos on YouTube also that will help you.

Bluehost.com Web Hosting $6.95

With Bluehost I can host up to 100 Wordpress blog/websites.  They allow you to use up to 100 MySQL Databases.  You need one for most Websites and two for some Websites.

Free Domain With $6.95 Bluehost Hosting Package I buy all my domains from DomainCheap  but I used the free one that comes with BlueHost.  This is the name that your account will be set up so I would recommend you use the free Domain Name you get with your hosting as a domain you are planning on keeping not a name you are planning on flipping.
I have been with Bluehost now for 6 months and have had occasion to call them three times.  I had very little wait time and they solved my problems quickly.

Just in the Niche of Time

30 April, 2009 (00:10) | Picking a Niche | By: Rick

Niche Picking is pretty simple.  Find one that there is money being made in and go to work.  Here are my steps to picking a Niche.

Do you need Passion for your Niche?  You are not going to marry it. Interest is important but Passion? Not needed.  If you start making good money in the niche you might become passionate.

Do you need Knowledge?  There literally is too much information out there.   Most things if you work at you can learn for free.   “We teach best what we most need to learn” is an old quote from a book by Richard Bach.  I believe many niches you can learn and then write about them.

Two Free Tools. to a profitable niche.  The goal is finding keywords with high paying adsense words and not a ton of competition.  If they are high paying Adsense words then there is a high paying affiliate program out there supporting the high Adsense Rates.

Tool #1  SEO for Firefox.  Firefox is the browser of choice for most internet marketers because of the ability to use plugins.  My favorite plugin is “SEO fro FIREFOX.”  If you have not already downloaded Firefox check out this page on SEO for Firefox.  It is very powerful and easy to use.

Tool #2  Google Keyword Tool.  This is a very powerful free tool for gathering information about potential niches.  I love this tool.  I have it open in a window most of the time.  Check out this primer on how to use the Google Keyword Tool.  Play with the tool click on all the buttons and open all the windows and try the different options.

Start your Niche Picking
Your first website might not be the Mona Lisa.  It is a learning process and the only way to get started is to make a decision and get started.

First put a general keyword into the Google Keyword tool.  Ideas like Acne, web hosting, Pet Insurance, Xbox, Credit Cards, Mortgage, Vitamins, Playstation, LCD tv, Coach Handbags, World of Warcraft, Cell Phones, Life Insurance, Weight Loss, Diet Pills, Hoodia, Spyware, Virus software, Link building Software, Baby Strollers, Baby Cribs, Home Security and the list goes on and on.

click on the Show/Hide and show the EST Ave CPC.  I like to organize by this column from highest to lowest.  Then I start grabbing keywords with 1500 to 6000 monthly search volume.  The $ amount is up to you but I stick to keywords with the potential of over $4.  Get a list of 50 of these words.

Now put them into a Google Search one at a time and evaluate the first 10 Search results.  You want to be able to get into the top ten with the keyword if you are going to get any traffic to your site.  There are several ways to evaluate the top ten.

My method is to look at the PR, Y! and Y! page for each of the top ten.  You will get a feel as to if you can break into this group.  High PR and large Y! but zero or very few Y! Page means you might be able to get into the top ten.

Another Evaluation method is to add the PR of all ten websites together and divide by 10.  If this number is over 3.0 move on.  I believe this is a good process also.

You want at least 25 keywords to work on for your little website.

Use one of the highest paying keywords as the Keyword for the website and include it in the title of your site.

Simple, now get a Domain Name, Hosting and get started building your site.  Check out my article on Hosting. I use Namecheap for Domain purchases.

Internet Business Models

29 April, 2009 (22:21) | Finding a Niche | By: Rick

There are a lot of different internet business models.

Niche Adsense sites.

Affiliate Marketing sites.

Follow the Guru sites.

Website Flipping.

Email List Marketing

Master Blog site.

Building an Authority site.

Building a Membership Site.

Building a Software Site.

Most successful marketers will become good at one

All of these can be built with Wordpress.  You do not need to be a genius to build Wordpress sites.  It is one of the most versatile, flexible easy to build website platforms.

What to Write About? How to get Ideas

2 April, 2009 (12:48) | Writing Tips | By: Rick

Out of Ideas to write about?

Go make some comments.  While commenting I always have a window open to start writing an article in.  I love to comment on blogs because it gets my writing started.  I will often write a long comment and then copy it and start a blog post with it.

I get double duty from this.  I get a link to my blog and I get an idea to write about.

Why I hate Marketers

26 March, 2009 (11:52) | Website Linking | By: Rick

Yeah
I think that people hate marketers for a reason.  Many of the marketers are able to paint a pretty enough picture of what their product is going to do that get me to buy it.  The product may be good, bad or great.  I don’t  get around to  “doing” the program just like the last ten programs I bought and didn’t “do.”  I blame the marketer because of my own laziness.  It couldn’t be my fault for watching TV on my big computer screen.  By the way have you seen the….

The Sewing Machine Syndrome I call it.  How many 20 year old sewing machines are out there in closets that have less than two hours use on them?  Millions in the United States.

Again the key is to starting one plan and working that plan.  Do not buy the latest Guru’s stuff unless you have taken your current project to fruition.  Almost every type of internet marketing business works if your work it.

Learn and do, then do more, then do more.
